A clean system is needed to keep maintenance costs to a minimum as well as keeping the system and boiler efficiency at its maximum potential and making sure that the hot water and heating circuits work as they were designed to.
From cold spots on your radiators and kettling in your boiler, to reduced hot water temperatures in hot water flow from combination boilers to general knocking sounds. These are all common signs of heating systems and their components suffering form " sludge " related incidents that can usually be remedied by a system power flush.......
A system power flush is basically a full internal clean of all or part of the heating system depending on where the problem lies. Depending on how much of the system is affected along with the severity of the problems there are a range of chemicals and cleaning techniques to use.
Using a Kamco power flushing machine connected to radiator tails of the circulator / pump in association with a magnaclean magnetic filtration system the dirty water can be cleaned and the sludge particles trapped in the magnetic filters enabling me to clear the problem in a much more effective and cost efficient manner, the magnetic filter reduces the standard power flushing times by at least a third and picks up more of the debris than any other system that I have come across.
Plated heat exchangers on combination boilers ( the hot water circuit ) generally need cleaning and flushing through every five years, to remove any sludge and in a lot of cases water scale too. This maintenance procedure is generally less than half the price of a new plated heat exchanger, proving once again that its better and cheaper to repair rather than replace.
