Gas Cookers and Hobs Installed
I am suitably qualified and competent to install new gas hobs and cookers or to remove and replace existing units.
Getting your old cookers away to the tip usually proves to be the most common concern of my customers but if you shop around carefully you will find plenty of well known stores that will take away your old cooker when they deliver the new unit, you just need to have a suitably qualified gas installer to disconnect the old unit before they arrive, usually with enough advance notice I disconnect the old cooker first thing in the morning then return some point the same day to reconnect the new cooker and to check its in full working order and safe to use. Not all cooker sizes are the same and may differ so please be aware of the gap you will have to fit your cooker into when the old unit is removed, with free standing cookers the height of the work top can sometimes prove to be a problem so its wise to measure the gap and the height and take these measurements into consideration before your buy your new cooker.
With gas hobs I will take the old unit away for you and install and test your new unit as required by the manufacturer and gas regs as required by law.
With gas hobs there is a very strict set of measurements around and above the hob for clearances away from combustible materials and cooker hoods, these measurements are not generally available until you have purchased the hob and you will find them in the installation instructions so check with the manufacturer before you purchase the new unit for their measurements, usually you do not need to worry about these too much but its better to be on the safe side .
