It is very important to get your gas appliances maintained and serviced for you and your family's safety along making sure the appliance is as efficient as it can be. Different gas appliances require different servicing techniques but in general the service will be a 20 point service ( 20 different tests and checks ) with all the results listed on a certificate of service
When servicing any gas appliance I issue an A4 size certificate of service listing all the tests carried out and the results of these tests that I sign at the end of the service to give you peace of mind that I have carried out the service and checks as required. I am not going to sign a certificate if I have not made sure I have carried out the tests and that the appliance is in a safe and working order. The certificate gives you a record of service that will build up to a full service history enabling me to compare the results the following year to make sure the data and readings are similar to that of the year before to help with diagnosing any potential problems.
Your details are also added to a boiler service data base so you will receive a written reminder the following year for the service.
With breakdowns I only use the manufacturers own spares and I have a local merchants that are very reliable and efficient at being able to get gas appliance spares at very short notice, minimizing any possible delay in obtaining spare parts.
Installations and replacements and system control upgrades are all too varied to list but if you have a preferred boiler model and manufacturer that is fine as toy are the customer and the choice is yours but if you need advice on the type of boiler you require please ask.
